Sabrina Lakos

Sabrina Lakos brings more than 15 years of experience in the management and leasing of significant portfolios of retail, shopping centre and mixed-used assets in BC and Western Canada for prominent private landlords including Bosa Development and Sobeys, and federal crown corporation CMHC. She holds a Certified Shopping Centre Management (CSM) designation through the International Council of Shopping Centres (ICSC). Sabrina has a deep understanding of commercial lease agreements and property operations allowing her to effectively negotiate optimal deal terms catered to her client’s individual needs.


Sabrina applies her expertise and leverages her extensive network to provide first-class landlord and tenant representation and advisory services in the private and public sectors. She has successfully developed and executed on short and long-term leasing strategies and contributed to significant planning projects for property portfolios of 1,000,000SF, negotiating more than 5,000,000SF of leasable space to date. This includes revitalizing Granville Island's lease strategy and tenant mix, recommendations adopted in the Granville Island 2040 plan, and facilitating due diligence for Sobeys' acquisition of Safeway Canada properties. Notable transactions include lease negotiations and facilitation of business sales  for spaces from 500SF to 130,000SF, including Bridges Tap & Barrel, Alimentaria Mexicana, Popina, Arts Umbrella, Ballet BC and the provincial lease surrender of two significant institutional buildings measuring 130,000SF, formerly tenanted by Emily Carr University.


Her keen understanding of commercial retail, mixed-use and shopping centre assets as well as her contributions to planning work with regional shopping districts and neighbourhoods positions her as a trusted advisor for clients seeking professional advice and support in their commercial real estate endeavours. Services include tenant and landlord representation, tenant mix, lease analysis, leasing strategy development, planning insights as it relates to the development and redevelopment of regional shopping and neighbourhood districts, as well as asset evaluation and positioning.


Beyond her professional endeavours, Sabrina serves on several strata councils and regularly volunteers her time supporting initiatives and nonprofits that benefit animal rescues, low-income families, and marginalized members of society. Sabrina currently resides in Port Moody, where she is raising her daughter, two four-legged family members and caretakes the occasional foster dog.
